Kip and Lindsay Shipley
Youth and Young Adults Directors
We have been blessed by the opportunity of leading the youth group and young adult group here at BFMC. God has grown our hearts and equipped us for ministry in ways that we could not possibly do in our own strength.
We were both born and raised here in Bloomington, and married in 2007. We both are graduates of Indiana Wesleyan University. By profession, Kip is a bowyer and Lindsay is a pediatric nurse. Our most important job is raising our two precious kids, Ellie and Keegan. Together, they keep us smiling and always on our toes.
Our prayer is that God would be at the center of our ministry, and use us to bring hope, love, and community to teenagers and young adults.
Gale & Georgia O'Connor
We are delighted to serve the Bloomington Free Methodist Church and the surrounding Bloomington Community. Prior to our move to Bloomington, we served at West Morris Street Free Methodist Church, Indianapolis IN, where we both served the youth and their families. We have been married for 34 wonderful years and have two amazing sons, Bobbie and Lee, two beautiful daughter-in-laws, Rebecca and Jamie, and 4 grandchildren, whose hugs melt us like butter; Hayden 8, Leighton 5, Brecken 2 and Theodore 5 months. Some of our favorite moments have been spending time with family and friends, playing board games and card games, cooking pudgy pies over a campfire, camping and boating. Our desire is to love God and love people. We believe God's love is best demonstrated when we live our lives in communion with one another. Please join us in our journey as we learn and love together.
